I wanted to post a quick update about some recent billQ buzz. A few weeks back I had a nice talk with Jim Bruene from the Online Banking Report about billQ and us as a company, and was pleased to hear that he has named billQ as "Best of the Web 2006." This is their highest honor and puts us in the company of past winners like Citibank, Bank of America, and ING Direct. Jim decided to bestow this title after he took a survey of the available web-based Personal Finance tools and found billQ to be one of the most promising, partly based on our interface design, reminder system (and RSS/iCal output), and the overall execution of the product. Very cool news.
For those unfamiliar, the Online Banking Report was started in 1995 and is published every six to eight weeks. It covers a variety of topics in the banking and finance industry and has become a go-to source for many in the field.
We definitely appreciate the kind words and it is great to see Jim and the rest of our steadily growing userbase benefit from the service. I guess when we determined that billQ might be useful to others, we weren't too far off. And we have much more planned, so we hope you'll (patiently) stay tuned while we continue to develop billQ.
